International applicants (EU and non-EU degrees) will need a preliminary review documentation (VPD) from uniassist (https://www.uni-assist.de/en/) to apply at the University of Würzburg.

The University Application Service for International Students (uniassist) processes international student applications as an external partner for the University of Würzburg.

Please check whether you need a preliminary review documentation (VPD). In general, all degrees achieved outside Germany must apply for it at uni-assist BEFORE you apply to the University of Würzburg.

Requirements

General requirements for application to the M.Sc. Exercise Science and Training at the University of Würzburg are:

  1. A bachelor's degree (acquisition of 180 ECTS credits) or a state examination​
  1. Competencies from modules totaling at least 40 ECTS related to sport and/or sport science or movement science. To enable an uninterrupted transition from the bachelor's to the master's degree 30 ECTS suffice when the bachelor's degree is close to completion before application deadline.​
  1. English language skills at level B2.
    • These skills can be proven by:
      • Native language
      • High school and/or university degree studied and passed in an English-speaking country
      • An accepted certificate with a score corresponding to the B2 level. (Accepted certificates are TOEFL [iBT: 72], Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English [Category: FCS], IELTS [score: 5.5])
      • Means of a “good” final grade in English within the German “Abitur” (equal to at least 10 of 15 points; level: E-course)
